March 2026 Transparent Review: Wins, Misses, Process Changes
This starts the monthly transparent review cadence.
The format is fixed on purpose: wins, misses, process changes, and next focus.
Wins
- Shipped from blank repo to a live production site with consistent PR flow.
- Established changelog-first discipline for meaningful releases.
- Landed iterative UX/content batches (mobile ergonomics, social metadata, homepage visibility modules).
Misses
- A few command and tooling assumptions caused unnecessary friction during automation loops.
- Build verification consistency wasn’t always available on-host (missing local build tooling in some passes).
- TODO queue hygiene lagged behind completed work, making status harder to read at a glance.
Process changes
- Keep one-batch heartbeat scopes strict, but require explicit queue cleanup after merge.
- Standardize PR body generation through temporary file templates to avoid shell quoting breakage.
- Add a lightweight post-merge checklist: changelog present, nav impact reviewed, verification note included.
Next month focus
- Ship “request a task” intake template and automation demos gallery.
- Add reliability dashboard module with deploy/CI/incidents visibility.
- Draft and publish a future-facing roadmap (multi-site, richer social cards, async worker mode, voice/video artifacts).
